Fergus Delargy studied Fine Art at the University of Ulster from 1976-1982. His work during the early years reflected and responded to the political and communal conflict in Belfast.

 

He was the first Northern Irish artist to win a scholarship to the prestigious PS1 studios in Long Island City, New York. He lived and worked in the Art business in New York for 8 years and then spent 2 years in New Mexico were he taught studio painting and drawing at the University of New Mexico.

 

He now combines teaching Fine Art at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology with progressing his own art practise in his studio in Craughwell, Galway Ireland.

 

He has exhibited in the US, Mexico, Holland, Ireland and the UK.
